A Systematic Literature Review on Waste-to-Resource Potential of Palm Oil Clinker for Sustainable Engineering and Environmental Applications

Several agro-waste materials have been utilized for sustainable engineering and environmental application over the past decades, showing different degrees of effectiveness. However, information concerning wider use palm oil clinker (POC) its performance is still lacking. Therefore, as a solid waste byproduct produced in one processing stages, generating huge quantity mostly dumped into landfill, waste-to-resource potential POC should be thoroughly discussed review. Thus, this paper provides systematic review current research articles on several advances made from 2005 to 2021 regarding physical properties performances, with particular emphasis their commitments cost savings during applications. The begins by identifying conventional geopolymer structural elements such beams, slabs, columns concrete, mortar, or paste coarse aggregates, sand, cement replacement. Aspects wastewater treatment processes, fine aggregate replacement asphaltic bituminous mixtures highway construction, bio-filler coatings steel manufacturing catalyst energy generation are also discussed. This further describes effectiveness soil stabilization effect pretreatment enhancement. present can inspire researchers find gaps that will aid agroindustry wastes. fundamental knowledge contained serve wake-up call motivate them explore high utilizing greater benefits associated less when compared materials.
